Detached 03:44
Detached or free The roll of the dice Just bring it down another empty lie It's shaping your horizons like a flood that's still arriving in your mind And standing still It's where you wanna be A million things to castaway at sea Another time another place another photograph of fate fills you up Wild winds will blow Endless summer nights Fade away till the morning the comes Travel far and wide Over hills and skies may you go Distant drums will beat Bring the air you breathe Holding back from the world you'd like Run a thousand miles just to tell yourself you believe Detached or free With only one life To struggle from the things that you hide When the fire hits your eyes and cold light won't deny discontent A speeding train crossing the line Of two lost thoughts bound to collide When you find you're trapped by nothing It's like something you've forgotten where to hide Wild winds will blow Endless summer nights Fade away till the morning the comes Travel far and wide Over hills and skies may you go Distant drums will beat Bring the air you breathe Holding back from the world you'd like Run a thousand miles just to tell yourself you believe Wild winds will blow Endless summer nights Fade away till the morning the comes Travel far and wide Over land and sea leads you on Distant drums will beat Bring the air you breathe Holding back from the world you'd like Run a thousand miles just to tell yourself you believe Detached or free The roll of the dice A struggle from the things that you hide When the fire hits your eyes and cold light won't deny discontent

If you're ready to fall Don't keep me waiting too long If the colour's too bright There's no point in holding on So let the wave cover you washing away your despair You've got the answers and I know that I will be there So cast off those mem'ries It might never be Lay out your heart It might never be Light in the dark that one day you will see Coming your way When the rain gets too much You always runaway When the days get too long Seems like there's nothing to say But it's hidden away in the darkest rooms of your mind And I want to know if I looked what would I find Cast off those mem'ries It might never be Lay out your heart It might never be Light in the dark that one day you will see Coming your way I'm missing tonight Unsettled and done Afraid of the climb I leave behind Why do you complicate Everything in your life Why do you get so scared Hiding away from the light Cos everything you ever wanted is holding you back There's nothing to fear about losing some blood on the tracks So cast off those mem'ries It might never be Lay out your heart It might never be Light in the dark that one day you will see Coming your way Cast off those mem'ries It might never be Lay out your heart It might never be Light in the dark that one day you will see Coming your way

Come & Go 04:28
Summer haze you draw a breath Now it's time that you confess Hear the whisper of the breeze go by August rising fades away The memories of distant days In your mind they flicker through the clouds The sea will rise the wind will blow Everything will come and go Everything you touch is what you are And fears you shake no time to know Everything will come and go Floating by you till you reach the shore Circle round the world tonight Looking for a sign of life Climb the stars that catch you when you fall Gold dust in the air you see Another warning turn to be If you could hear me now what would you say The sea will rise the wind will blow Everything will come and go Everything you touch is what you are And fears you shake no time to know Everything will come and go Floating by you till you reach the shore Particles break out the seams Photographs of summer dreams Lose your way so you can just say no Grounded throughts slip out from you Another word you oughtta choose Hold me down this dizziness is blue The sea will rise the wind will blow Everything will come and go Everything you touch is what you are And fears you shake no time to know Everything will come and go Floating by you till you reach the shore

You're moving from yourself now You're standing by the fence now And words don't seem to be enough for what you wanna say Just give in to yourself now And change the way you see life Cos I don't know anyone who cannot feel the pain Oh but I found a space to be where I want And I stir some life in the rest room What if this day or night comes to bring me to my knees Heavy mind Slowly you unwind Conscious heart What will you decide And nothing's like it seems now So go ahead release them Don't see the ones who hope to be standing in the frame Roll the way you feel love And cast the doubts between us Cos no-one can throw you from the places that I dream Oh but I found some place to be where I want And I stir some life in the rest room What if this day or night comes crashing to the ground Heavy mind Slowly you unwind Conscious heart What will you decide Heavy mind With your soul entwined Conscious heart Leave the past behind

It's starting up again I feel it in the air It's coming down my street tonight And whether blood will flow I will stand as one who tries You're looking kind of pale There's shadows everywhere You've lost the reflection in your eyes And science makes no sense of the seeds you try to grow It's the strange comfort I know in my world In the way that we laugh when it all goes wrong For a moment I'm still All the colours bleeding into one So what about belief In people that you meet Time will spent can bring relief But I can't let it go there's an aching in my heart The webs we spin of lies A fully cloaked disguise Of what you hoped you could achieve Beside the garden path under rocks and stones I hide But there's a strange comfort I know in my world In the way that we laugh when it all goes wrong For a moment I'm still All the colours bleeding into one Come as what you are Moving from afar And hear the drum beat from within And ride the wave of change nevermind the rain will go Don't be afraid to touch Ornaments of love They're gone in a flash under the wheel So gather your strength from love and the feelings that are real It's the strange comfort I know in my world In the way that we laugh when it all goes wrong For a moment I'm still All the colours bleeding into one There's a strange comfort I know in my world In the way that we laugh when it all comes up For a moment I'm still All the colours bleeding into one

Close the door, pull the blinds, time's pushing through Close your eyes to the lies and let them go Hide away in the night stranded alone Feel the pressure, tension, lose control Cos she's still there She's watching everywhere Such a different life could be yours if you want to be And the days slowly drop like living proof Precious lines we all follow for sleeping news Waking up feeds the same persistent thoughts Here she comes like a river twists and turns Cos she's still there She's watching everywhere Such a different life could be yours if you want to be Yeah she's still there She's watching everywhere Such a different life could be yours if you want to be

Greetings the time arrives again Before we know what's come Winter moves in and takes it's place A shadow at the door The leaves are gone but smiles appear Excitement sees us through May goodwill come to all of us And I hope, yeah I hope Christmas c'mon Sing for the ones Christmas c'mon Show you care Christmas c'mon Raise your cup Christmas c'mon Don't despair See through your eyes a different world There might be some way there Here's to the New Year brighter days I hope, yeah I hope Christmas c'mon Sing for the ones Christmas c'mon Show you care Christmas c'mon Raise your cup Christmas c'mon Don't despair Christmas c'mon Sing for the ones Christmas c'mon Show you care Christmas c'mon Raise your cup Christmas c'mon Don't despair No, don't despair Oh, don't despair Oh, don't despair

She said "why d'you doubt all the words I have spoken?" Ray of light appears misty morning is broken I don't know why you can't find whatever you've been looking for Leave me standing here confused while you open up another door And the light fades away across the ocean Time is running out for you and me This ship has lost it's way across the ocean So should I sail away or should I stay Watch her every move I can tell she's not lying Underneath my skin deathly feeling of silence Thunder calls while I am standing looking on again in vain And I can't find a solution the only thing I feel is afraid And the light fades away across the ocean Time is running out for you and me This ship has lost it's way across the ocean So should I sail away or should I stay Lying in the dark I can sense that she's calling Out for help she speaks I can see the words falling Dancing round the flames of fear I turn to her full of intent But the sparks fly over me as you still don't know what I meant And the light fades away across the ocean Time is running out for you and me This ship has lost it's way across the ocean So should I sail away or should I stay

about

After returning to the UK from a backpacking trip around Europe in November 2002, I soon decided to commit to Music and upgraded my simple home studio set-up from a 4-track cassette portastudio to a 16-track digital portastudio. I then set about starting to record songs which would make up an EP - my first release to the world.

I chose the name Seven Worlds as it had never been my intention to be a solo singer/songwriter and I felt a more ambiguous name would keep the focus on the music itself.

It took a year to record and during that time various events happened such as receiving airplay for "Come and Go" on Manx Radio UK, being approached by a Dutch artist manager and a Bosnian Eurovision popstar interested in recording some of my songs for an album of his. None of these incidents amounted to anything, the EP was finally released in December 2003 and I continued on my own path towards the One Way Ticket album.
