"Amusement Park" was written sometime in 2006 as part of the Balcarres Street Demos. These were intended as a follow-up to my debut album 'One Way Ticket', released in January 2006.

What I mainly remember about this song is playing around with unusual scales/modes (something I still know little about!) on the guitar in attempt to create something more interesting than the usual standard heavy rock track.

A lot of the imagery in the lyrics comes from the fairground (or "shows" as we called them in Scotland) that used to come to the park where I grew up every summer.
