In the years leading up to SoulJahm, we encountered and befriended a Susie on a spiritual forum. Just before leaving for continental Europe in 2010, there was a fall out but we continued to see signs relating to this person's name everywhere we went. Our first Europe apartment, in Barcelona, even had an owner with that name. One of the strangest signs was seeing a bus go by us on several occasions with the name Suzanne emblazoned on the side. That inspired the song, which just fell out very easily in Budapest on ukulele in March 2011.
