about

Written in 2007, this song was never recorded until the SoulJahm years as part of the 'Sketches of Europa' sessions in 2011. The track was finally completed in Ventimiglia in 2013.

lyrics

Count the rain on bus window panes
We'll come up again
Take away my pain make me whole again
I promise you I'll

Hear the voice of ancients
The voice speak clearly
The voice

Don't waste away a second chance
Now you're lost
You brought me into this world
And paid the cost
I hope you find dreams of another kind
To help you

Hear the voice of ancients
The voice speak clearly
The voice

Ain't no religion gonna be big enough
To take away my pain
And heal me again

And as the dust settles
And the cold comes upon my bones
You're still in my heart
I can't runaway from who I am
And neither can you
But in stormy weather I remember
What I promised you
Your body given back to the earth
And I could

Hear the voice of ancients
The voice speak clearly
The voice
Hear the voice of ancients
The voice speak clearly
The voice

And I see it and I feel it and I hear it
And I know it to be true and I do
You can't tell me none of this is real
You can't tell me all of this is a dream
And I speak through the voice through the Earth
When we spend all day looking at the sky
What is real comes through the Earth...
