Another early one from Edinburgh days, this was probably written around the same time as Drowning Into You, so circa 2009. It was becoming clear to me at this time that almost all humanities problems stem from the fact people are always running away from Truth (the present moment) when they should be running towards it.
lyrics
Why do you run, do you run, from the one, I wonder
Moving out from the sun, lost in things that you've done no longer
Come home, come home, come home, come home
There's a million ways to get what you want
How much longer will you play?
How much more do you want?
And the drum of time is beating down
Suffering will surely come
Why do you run, do you run, from the one, I wonder
Moving out from the sun, lost in things that you've done no longer
Come home, come home, come home, come home
All those lonely nights
Now it's time to jump
There's no end in sight
Until you hit the bump
No need for you to walk that road
When thy will be done
So why do you run, do you run, from the one, I wonder
Moving out from the sun, lost in things that you've done no longer
Come home, come home, come home, come home
Please come home
I'm telling you it's fun
So why do you run, run run
Why do you run...

Well, I was introduced to the song Comeback Kid acoustically on a Tiny Desk concert and it really caught my attention. From there I went to the album version and also liked one or two others. David William
